U-POL Easy 1 Lightweight Body Filler is a high-performance, smooth-textured polyester filler formulated for deep repairs. Its non-sagging formula makes it ideal for use on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. The lightweight composition ensures excellent adhesion to multiple substrates, including galvanised steel, metal, and GRP, providing a durable and long-lasting repair solution. Gel Time: Approximately 7–8 minutes at 10°C, 4–6 minutes at 20°C, and 4–5 minutes at 30°C. Sandable After: 30 minutes at 10°C, 20 minutes at 20°C, and 15 minutes at 30°C. Sanding Grit: Initial sanding with P80–P120, final sanding with P180–P240. VOC Content: 226 g/L (as received), 100 g/L (ready to use). Shelf Life: 4 years from the date of manufacture in sealed original containers. Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 25°C. Application Guide: Surface Preparation: Clean and degrease the surface. Abrade the surface with appropriate grit paper (P80 for bare steel, P180 for original paint, and P180 for GRP). Re-clean and dry the surface. Mixing: Mix thoroughly on an Onion Board Mixing Palette. Follow the mix ratio carefully. Do not under or over-catalyse. Application: Apply with a pressing action to reduce air entrapment. Drying: Allow to flash off for 10–15 minutes between coats. Sandable at 20°C after 15–20 minutes; at 30°C after 15 minutes. Sanding: Dry sand with P80–P120 for initial sanding; P180–P240 for final sanding.
