This filter cuts out most UV light. It is good for wide angle lenses due to the low profile design. L-41 is a sharp-cut UV filter that blocks 90% of UV light below 410nm with almost no colour tint. Normal UV glass has a slight yellow colour tine, but the L-41 has none. Kenko recommends this filter for use in the mountains, at the beach, in areas of snow, and any other situations where there is a lot of UV light.
