The inner layer is made of polypropylene that effectively wicks moisture and the outer layer is made of warm merino wool, mixed with a little polyamide to increase wear resistance. Merino Extreme is a great base layer or midlayer for changeable weather. The high collar warms the neck, and the hood fits under a helmet. In the wind and in the wind, your wrists stay comfortably warm with the thumb loops, and the extended back hem protects your lower back. Merino Extreme always keeps your skin dry and warm.
